Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has sparked outrage among left-wing supporters and Remainers after offering to provide flights for the UK government’s plan to deport migrants to Rwanda.
Despite O’Leary’s previous anti-Brexit statements, Twitter users have condemned the airline boss as “heartless” for his willingness to participate in the deportation scheme.
Many users have vowed to boycott the airline, with some calling on others to cancel their Ryanair flights. O’Leary’s critics have branded his move a “dick move” and a breach of international law, despite the CEO dismissing UN warnings.
This marks a significant change in the left’s attitude towards O’Leary, who last month expressed delight at the idea of Brexiteers “dying out” and the UK rejoining the European single market in the future.
